Our team has many years experience in a wide-range of expertise to help you through the complete design and development process. At Creactive Design ID, our aim is to help our clients find solutions that match their individual needs. If you have a requirement for any of the services that we offer then please contact us to talk about how we can help your business.

research
Research is the first stage of the design process. Our requirement capture process assesses user' needs
and expectations, design trends, analysis of competitor products, constraints, and required certifications, to
help define a product specification and design brief, and fully understand the requirements of the client and
the end user.

product development
A product concept needs to be refined and developed to progress from the idea and initial visual stage
towards a product that is suitable for manufacture. We will develop all casework components in detail, taking
into account all specified requirements and working within a team to ensure the complete product package is
considered.

prototyping
Prototyping is an essential part of product development. Rapid prototyping technologies has made the
prototyping process, quicker, easier, and far more cost effective, the benefit of this being that we can create
a test environment for mechanical, electronic and industrial design that can help identify any potential issues
that may arise prior to commencement of production.
From simple in-house rigs and models, to high tolerance SLA, SLS, or FDM parts, we can provide you with
the best prototyping solution.

information design
Product labels, user guides, and manuals, all help to reinforce the brand identity of the product and
ultimately the company. Creactive Design ID believes that it is important to have a consistent design
strategy through all areas of a product's design including not only the product but accessories and
associated literature.

model making
Models play an important role in the development of a product. From a simple foam or card model to explore
size, form, and interaction, to a finished model to assess final form and finish, we are able to provide models
to our clients quickly and efficiently in order to demonstrate ideas and design vision.

CAD
Computer aided design is at the core of Creactive Design ID's design and development process. We use
Solidworks as our main CAD platform, together with a range of other CAD software to ensure we can import
and export a wide range file formats to enable easy integration with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers.
From our CAD data we can produce; files for rapid prototyping, files for FEA, files for production tooling,
production documentation, and renderings.

visualisation
From storyboards and concept sketches, through to photorealistic renderings and computer generated
animations. Creactive Design ID has the skills to visualise ideas and designs for in-house discussion and
design development, and produce high quality media that can be used for marketing and sales purposes.
To compliment our hand drawn ink and marker sketches we use a wide range of software including; 3ds
Max, Solidworks, KeyShot, Photoshop and Illustrator, that can be combined to produce work in a variety of
styles and create visuals to various levels from sketches to full blown photorealistic montages. We can
produce still images together with animations and walk-throughs in an array of file formats and resolutions
for use in both print and digital media.

production documentation
3D CAD files do not provide all of the necessary information for the selected manufacturing partner.
Tolerances, inspection dimensions, materials, colour and finishes all need to be documented to form a
complete set of manufacturing data alongside 3D information, to eliminate misunderstanding.

design for manufacture
Our experience ensures that the products we design are suitable for manufacture. At an early stage in the
design process we will identify constraints, such as quantities, budgets, and end user environments, in order
to select the most suitable manufacturing process.

design verification & testing
The process of testing and verifying the design is fit for purpose and adheres to any required standards
(CE, UL, etc.) is an important phase in the development of many products. These tests may include
mechanical, safety, EMC, thermal management and environmental testing. Testing will be carried out
by an approved Test House using prototype or production parts, or within a simulated digital
environment using finite element analysis(FEA) software.

concept generation
The creation of your design: this is where we turn your design brief, specification, and ideas into a range of
design concepts. Here, we aim to create designs that answer, challenge, and question the brief in the
search for the best possible solution. Based on the information you provide, together with your expectations,
our knowledge, research, and desire to create products that delight, we will generate a range of design
concepts to present to you.

packaging design
Product packaging can play a number of roles, it's primary role may be to protect the product during storage
and shipping, or to draw attention to the product and differentiate it within a retail environment.
Budgets, quantities, and primary role of the packaging will all influence our decision on the manufacturing
technology that is best suited. We will then explore concepts for the design, looking at the appearance (form
and graphics), the method by which the product, accessories, and documentation are contained and
presented to the customer, as well as any recycling issues or environmental impact it may have upon
disposal.

brand development
Brand development is used to give a product or product range a distinctive identity and credibility in the
marketplace. Developing a strong brand image is a high priority for any competitive business. It can create a
difference to your product by adding value, differentiation from competitors, and connecting you and the
customer.
At Creactive Design ID our experience in brand development can help you to generate a vision for your
company by looking at ways to challenge the market, reinvigorate or offer an existing product in a
completely new way. This might be through the use of different shapes and forms, colours, use of graphic
design to position your logo identity and the materials used in product manufacture.
Throughout the years we have been successful in implementing new product branding approaches for many
of our clients. In addition to this, we have created branding guidelines that explain exactly how the different
visual design elements should be applied when creating new products within a range.

manufacturing liaison
Early liaison with manufacturing partners is essential to ensure that the end result of any development
program or production phase runs smoothly. Creactive Design ID has over many years been using
manufacturers in UK, Europe and the Far East; we constantly liaise with them to ensure that the end result
is to the quality and accuracy required and expected.

Far East manufacturing
With many years of experience working with manufacturers in China, Hong Kong and Malaysia, Creactive
Design ID has established strong links with a network of suppliers in the Far East. We have a dedicated
local contact based in Hong Kong, who liaises with local suppliers ensuring quick, low cost and reliable
implementation on our manufacturing requirements.

interaction design
How the user interacts, controls, and gains feedback from a product all forms part of a well considered user
experience, which ultimately helps to produce a fantastic product. From the position of a power button, or
font used on a keypad, to the layout and style of a graphical user interface (GUI), user friendly, functional
design that takes into account human factors and ergonomics are critical factors in the success of a product.

project management
Years of experience have taught us that good product management skills are paramount in bringing a
product to market on time and on budget without compromising project goals and quality. We liaise with the
client, development team, suppliers, and manufacturers to manage decisions on specification, deliverables,
time scales and budgets.
